Max Mara Weekend Sweater

Funny story, well, not that funny, actually, tragic. My friend gigi lost her beloved max mara sweater to the dryer, devastating, as it was her absolute favorite. naturally, her loss struck me, id been there before, i mean weve all been there before, the challenging part about a shrunken sweater is that you dont HAVE to have been there, its the oh so tormenting, "if only" situation. After gigi showed me the remains of what once was her favorite sweater of all time i vowed to hunt it down for her. the issue is that max mara weekend isnt exactly chanel. its not a simple google search away, finding an identifcal max mara weekend sweater from who knows what year requires a level of in person digging, and you dont just need to know how to look, you need to know and this is key here, WHERE to look. i had a trip booked to source along the amalfi coast the following week. i searched high and low for a replication of gigis loss. i didnt find its twin, but its cousin, and here she is :)
