Gucci Vintage Pony Hair Shoulder

This rare vintage Gucci ponyhair shoulder bag from the late 1990s is a striking piece from Tom Ford’s iconic tenure at Gucci.  Crafted in luxurious, deep royal blue/indigo calf hair, it has a natural, velvet-like sheen that catches the light differently depending on the direction of the fur.  Heavy, polished gold-tone metal rim frames the bottom half of the bag and the front flap, & subtly engraved with the house name.  Built as a classic under-the-arm bag, it features a single leather shoulder strap also adorned with ponyhair. The front flap secures with a hidden magnetic snap closure, opening up to a suede lined interior with dual compartments.  Rare, sleek, & sexy, this bag is the perfect representation of this iconic handbag era of the house.
